National Velvet Inspire Outfit

It's been a while since I've posted a casual outfit. Mainly because I'm a bit lazy when it comes to taking photos before I leave the house. I did however manage to snap this one. The look is inspired by the classic film "National Velvet" with young Elizabeth Taylor.
I'd admit the choice of shoes could have been better. I was in a bit of a hurry to get out the door that day. Hope ya'll enjoy!

Everything is either second hand or from Goodwill.

Thanks!

Silly Me! I Lost the Camera...

Yes, I did... Hope to find it soon so I can post to ya'll the photos of the previous coords.  However, I do have a photo of an outfit taken a couple weeks back.
Another Dolly-kei sort of look. Super comfy and layered.

Vintage coordinate & Super Cute Yorkie Pup!

I LOVE our family Yorkies! Cheerful, smart, and waaaay too distracted. These little dogs are charming.
In the photos I'm holding our youngest of the bunch, Olivia (a.k.a. Olive). I've never met a puppy so happy and cuddly.

This adorable vintage dress was purchased at Big Sandy's Goodwill for $9. There isn't much to see in that particular town. Stepping into their secondhand shops you could easily make the assumption that the population is mostly elderly. Which in the case of vintage shopping is perfect!

I have no idea what was going on here, but it looks like she's fixen' to eat my face!

Puppy Love | New JSK

I've been over joyed and distracted with these little furry babies! Just about the first thing I do every morning is hop down the stairs to stop by their pin. It's then I have difficulty deciding which puppy to hold as each one is trying to convince me that it is the most deserving. Out of the six I tend to choose mr. alpha male Walter. His bunny like face, energetic greet, and best of all his love for cuddles make him irresistible.
Yorkies are lots of fun. Six yorkie babies are more fun than a human being should be allowed to have. I'll be so sad to see them go. :(

Recently I've been developing a basic JSK pattern. It's taken me time to figure out all the right proportions. I'm pretty pleased with how this one turned out.

Sunday's Look

 Hello,
I'm a bit behind on posting photos. I don't quiet have the week before last ready, but I do have yesterday's look to post.

A while back I was inspired by these two pieces, so I tried my hand at the "angel kiss" skirt.

I'll have to try later to get better photos of this piece.
This wasn't a difficult skirt to make. If you know how to make your basic pleated skirt, than your in good shape if you want to take a whack at it. It does however take some time to hand sew all the pinches.

Catching Up Part 2 : Dolly Kei

Another photo shoot shot a while back. This has to be one of my favorites. Though, my hair was a bit of a mess. That day was super hot and muggy! It was supposed to be well into Winter. Oh, well... that's Texas weather for you.

The look was inspired by the fairytale character Red Ridding Hood. I'm really liking the dolly-kei style as of late. I hope to arrange more looks of this style. What do ya'll think? "Love" or "Not too fond of...", Let me know in the comments below.
